The shipping services (UPS/Fed Ex and USPS) are sending out their holiday advisories for receiving packages before December 25. The post office has set December 15 for its ground advantage and priority mail shipping. UPS and Fed Ex have similar advice.

It is getting pretty hectic at the Thunderbird Atlatl shop but we have a great staff of elves working here! We are fortunate that we have people coming in to help us during this busy season. Now is the time to purchase atlatl gifts while our inventory is good. Use the coupon code SAVE10 and save $10 on orders over $100 through Friday, December 9.
We are working up some other special offers as the season continues. We are shipping most of the orders through UPS ground or the post office via priority mail. Unfortunately, shipping has dramatically increased over the last year as shippers face increasing fuel costs and payroll costs. Every box we ship over three feet long gets an oversize fee of a minimum of $15 before shipping costs are added. It is actually more economical to order more items than fewer as the oversize fee is a fixed cost and has nothing to do with weight.
We are missing our beloved canine helper, Tina, again this holiday season (our second without her). Valentina (Tina) always made sure she rode to the post office every time we went. We miss our loyal helper. We now have Hachi who still has a long way to go on his atlatl training. And, of course, our feline helper, Molly, continues to help out by always being right in the thick of everything we’re doing.

Our elves are busy at the Thunderbird Atlatl shop. We are working closely with delivery services to make sure orders go out in time for delivery by Christmas. We usually use priority mail because our post office is just down the street and delivery is pretty quick. We also can ship via UPS/Fed Ex/DHL if that works better for you.
Worried about delivery and not sure what to get for a gift, you can order a gift certificate. We can send the gift certificate in regular mail or deliver it via email. An atlatl kit also makes a nice gift and is a great holiday project.

This time of the year is always one of the busiest at Thunderbird Atlatl. We are busy trying to keep up with Christmas orders and want to make sure everyone’s order arrives in time. We usually ship priority mail through the post office. We can also ship UPS and Fed Ex depending on oversize charges and requirements. Priority mail is usually two to three day delivery depending where you are located. Thunderbird Atlatl’s shop is located in upstate New York.
We recommend making sure your orders for Christmas are in by Friday, December 20th at the latest- earlier is better. We will send out our last priority mail packages on December 21st. We can still ship express mail which is guaranteed delivery with the last packages going out December 23rd.
We also offer gift certificates which you can order online. We can send them via email or through the post office.
