Atlatl & Dart Kit Building- great winter time activity

Atlatl and dart building workshops are a great way to spend your winter hours! Thunderbird Atlatl offers several types of atlatl and dart kits in our online catalog.

With kits, you are able to save money and finish your own atlatl the way you want. You can put your own personal imprint or design on an atlatl you made. Fletching darts can be a little tricky but we offer videos on both finishing our atlatl kits and fletching

Kits can be purchased individually or if you have a group of five or more, we offer bulk rates for kits. Give us a call at 1-800-836-4520 or email us at contact@thunderbirdatlatl.com for more information.

In the pictures below, Interpretive Naturalist Kelley Morgan offers an atlatl & dart building workshop at Mounds State Park in Anderson, Indiana. Thank you Kelley for the pictures and for leading the workshops. More information about programs offered by the Indiana department of Natural Resources-Division of State Parks can be found on their webpage.

Still time to order for Christmas delivery! Gift Certificates also available!

Our elves are busy at the Thunderbird Atlatl shop. We are working closely with delivery services to make sure orders go out in time for delivery by Christmas. We usually use priority mail because our post office is just down the street and delivery is pretty quick. We also can ship via UPS/Fed Ex/DHL if that works better for you.

The post office says the last day to ship priority mail for delivery by Christmas is Saturday, December 21. If you want to guarantee delivery, we can ship via Priority Mail Express. There is an extra charge but delivery is guaranteed.

Worried about delivery and not sure what to get for a gift, you can order a gift certificate. We can send the gift certificate in regular mail or deliver it via email. An atlatl kit also makes a nice gift and is a great holiday project.

Thunderbird Atlatl Designs

Thunderbird Atlatl has a variety of atlatl designs. Bob Berg of Thunderbird Atlatl has been designing atlatls for over 30 years.

Some of our designs are interpretations of ancient designs and many are designs inspired by years of using the atlatl for sport, hunting, fishing and recreation.

All of our designs are copyrighted and the names are unique to our atlatls. Many of our designs have kits if you wish to make your own atlatl.
