Missouri news media is announcing that the first deer has been taken with an atlatl during the Missouri hunting season. Missouri legalized deer hunting with atlatls last year.
The hunter used an ash dart manufactured from our shop and an atlatl he built himself. Congratulations to Luke Boenker!

Thinking about an atlatl and darts for Christmas, now’s a good time to put in your order before the Christmas rush.

The second Annual Stone Age & Primitive Skills Celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in Deerfield, Massachusetts.
The event is sponsored by the Franklin County Sportsmen’s Club & Deerfield Education & Conservation Corporation
This event is free, and will be held rain or shine. Besides an ISAC, the event will include the bola, primitive archery, hands-on ice age art, music of the ancients and throwing and thrusting spears, as well as a variety of skills used by our distant ancestors. Throwing games will include the charging beast challenge and the chaotic hoop game. Instruction will be provided, and there will be food for sale.
