Presentation to the Pennsylvania Game Commission

Bob Berg of Thunderbird Atlatl went to Harrisburg, Pa. on January 22, 2006 and spoke to the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
Here is Bob’s report on the presentation: I felt after talking to several of the Commissioners that we still do have a good chance at getting the atlatl accepted as a legal hunting implement. I think the major hurdle is still to get the PGC staff up to speed on how the atlatl is used for hunting. I think they are most concerned with creation the language describing it and setting parameters for it. Things like the size of the point need to be addressed. I am ready and willing to travel to anywhere in Pennsylvania to help the Game Commission staff with anything they need help with concerning atlatls. Gary Fogelman, Jack Rowe and Dennis Lantz were there with me. I thank them all for their support. -Bob Berg

  1. I am a student at Penn State Harrisburg and I am writing a essay on why atlatl and darts should be used in Pennsylvania. I am writing to you today asking if you could email me any information that I could use in my essay. I am having a hard time finding information from PGC about were they stand on the subject. Only it is illegal to use.

    Thank You
