World Atlatl Day, Saturday, June 1. Join us!

Thunderbird Atlatl will be celebrating World Atlatl Day here at our shop, 90 Main Street, Candor, NY, from 1 to 4 p.m.

World Atlatl Day (WAD) was initiated by Linda Brundage and the New York Atlatl Association in 2011. Due to its popularity, the WAA membership attending the 2012 Annual Meeting voted to officially recognize the first Saturday in June of each year as World Atlatl Day.

Stop by if you are in the area to participate! Questions, give us a call at 607-659-3854, 800-836-4520 or email us at contact@thunderbirdatlatl.com

Bob Berg had a busy day at Primitive Pursuits in Ithaca. In the photo below, he is showing a family a flint tool that can be used to cut grass or other long fibered plants. The flint is held on by the natural glue Bob makes at the Thunderbird shop with pine pitch and other natural components.
