KNAP-IN AND STONE-AGE ARTS FESTIVAL
Silver Springs State Park
Date: February 22 and 23, 2014, 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.
Flint knappers, archaeologists, potters, hide tanners, bow makers, and many others gather from all over the Southeast at this public event. Come see how things were made in the days before the old days. Items are available for purchase and learning opportunities abound.
Enter at the SR 35 entrance to directly access the event. Enter at the SR 40 entrance to enjoy a free tram ride guided by a park ranger to the event.
Fees: $5 admission to event. Park entry fees are waived. Children 5 and under are free.

7TH ANNUAL STONE AGE AND PRIMITIVE ARTS FESTIVAL
Ochlockonee River State Park
Date: Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., February 28; Saturday and Sunday, March 1 & 2
The Department of Environmental Protection’s Ochlockonee River State Park will host the 7th Annual Stone Age and Primative Arts Festival. This annual event brings in vendors and demonstrators from all over the country. They show off their skills in Flint Knapping, bow and arrow making and shooting, allatl, spear making and throwing. Festival goers will have the opportunity to shoot bows and throw spears, knap points and watch as demostrators tan hides, weave baskets and make tools used by primative man.
Fees: Normal park entry fees of $4.00 per vehicle apply.
